5 Serious Web Design Considerations

There are some important rules to consider when it comes to your website, a little extra attention should be paid to the little details to ensure that it performs optimally and serves the purpose it wa designed for. Here are seven important rules of thumb to observe to make sure your website performs well as well as expected.

1. Never,Never, Never use splash pages.

Splash pages are one of the first pages that you see when you arrive at a website. They normally have a very great looking graphic image or logo with sentances like ‘welcome’ or ‘click here to enter’. In fact, they are nothing more than eye candy with no real purpose. By implmenting a spalsh page you are delaying your visitor from reaching your content and inreasing the likely hood of them clickin on a back button. Give them the value of your site up front without the splash page and you wont go far wrong
